Spare a thought for Margaret Court.
As a committed Christian, she believes in the Bible which, as a guidebook for living, can be very confusing.

There are plenty of sensible tips such as "Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material" (Leviticus 19:19). Yet, two books later in Deuteronomy 23:1, we read that no one whose "testicles are crushed or whose penis is cut off shall be admitted to the assembly of the Lord" (though any man who finds himself in that unfortunate situation would probably prefer a hospital to a church).
On the other side of the world, a different kind of sex scandal brought Rolf Harris down. As a convicted sex offender he left jail last week and will see out his remaining years in disgrace.

Organisations previously associated with him have walked away, yet none have been quite as strident as Buckingham Palace. Harris' portrait of the Queen, painted to mark her 80th birthday in 2006, is officially "missing".
