Play resumed in the India- Pakistan match after rain interrupted the high-profile ICC Champions Trophy encounter for the second time here today.

The match was reduced to 48 overs a side. Three bowlers can bowl 10 overs each, while two can bowl nine each.

Sent into bat, India were 173 for one in 33.1 overs when the heavens opened up at the Edgbaston.

Opener Rohit Sharma was batting on 77, while skipper Virat Kohli was giving him company on 24.

Shikhar Dhawan was the only batsmen to be dismissed, after having scored 68 off 65 balls.

Earlier in the innings, play was stopped for 50 minutes due to rain.
