A 45-year-old woman from the Northeast, who holds a senior position in the Bharat Scouts and Guides, has accused some men of making vulgar remarks against her on social media, police said.
The woman is posted in Arunachal Pradesh and had come here for a meeting on May 28, they said.
She alleged she was added in a WhatsApp group of people associated with the Bharat Scouts and Guides. In the group "scandalous remarks" were posted against her, police said.
She also alleged that a man, who is not an employee of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, alongwith some other persons posted obscene comments about her on Facebook too, police said.
The woman also claimed that they targeted her since she is from the Northeast.
The police said they have registered a case and are probing the matter.
