The deadline is looming to enter the Brisbane Times City2South, which weaves through some of the picturesque parts of the city.

From serious competitors to costume-wearing entrants running for fun, thousands of people will participate in the annual run that also raises money for charity.

Brisbane Lions midfielder and City2South ambassador Dayne Zorko gives some tips on how to finish a a fun run.

The five-kilometre and 14-kilometre fun runs are the centrepiece of a two-day Brisbane lifestyle festival this weekend, which includes the F45 outdoor training session, open-air cinema, live entertainment, food trucks, and kids' activities. 

Participants strap on their running shoes on Sunday, June 4, for the five-kilometre event, which starts at the University of Queensland at 7.30am.

The 14-kilometre event starts at 8am in George Street.

You can still enter the Brisbane Times City2South presented by Westpac if you register before 5pm on the day before the run
