The GST Council will tomorrow finalise taxes to be levied on six commodities, including gold, textiles and biscuits, as the Centre and states gear up to roll out the new indirect tax regime from July 1.

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) is celebrating the 93rd birthday of its leader M. Karunanidhi on June 3 in a big way in Chennai. The function will also mark DMK president M. The BSE will conduct a mock trading session on Saturday. Besides equity, the BSE would conduct mock trading in equity derivatives and currency derivatives segments.

Defending champions India will take on arch-rivals Pakistan in their opening cricket match of this year’s ICC Champions Trophy. The two countries were today placed in the same group for the event that got underway on June 1 in England. After just making the cut, Pakistan will be under pressure, in Birmingham on June 4.
