Dismissing allegations levelled by political opponents of jobless growth in the three-year NDA rule, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Minister Kalraj Mishra on Friday said these charges were far from reality.

Under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme ( PMEGP), a flagship programme of the MSME ministry, between April 2014 and March 2017, a total of 1.45 lakh units were set up which provided employment to 10.87 lakh people.

In the 2016-17 fiscal, 52,912 units were set up generating 4.06 lakh employment, he said while addressing the media to list out achievements accomplished by his ministry in the past three years.
