
As the 2017 edition of French Open enters its fifth day, top names like Andy Murray, Stan Wawrinka, Simona Halep and Karolina Pliskova will take the court as they look to march into the third round of the tournament. Murray, who has been struggling with form, will take on Slovakia’s Martin Klizan while Wawrinka will be out to extend claycourt run against Alexandr Dolgopolov. In women’s singles, Halep faces Tatjana Maria and Pliskova takes on Russia’s Ekaterina Alexandrova in the last match on Philippe-Chatrier. 1745 hrs IST: Wawrinka wins the opening set 6-4. Live scores elsewhere have Murray down a break against Martin Klizan (3-2 to the Slovak). Nishikori is bulldozing past Chardy – 6-3, 6-0, 2-0. And Almagro is inching towards equalling matters against Del Potro after dropping the first set. Ferrer and Feliciano Lopez look to be headed towards a fifth set as ‘Daveeed’ serves for the fourth set at 5-4
1706 hrs IST: Wawrinka capitalises on a lucky let chord, thumps a forehand that grazes the line and he’s broken Dolgopolov in the first service game. Leads 2-0
1701 hrs IST: After straightforward first round, Radwanska is stretched by Van Uytvanck of Netherlands in the second round. But comes out victorious after dropping the first set. Wins 6-7, 6-2, 6-3. She will now face Cornet
1653 hrs IST: Three good quality matches, prospectively, underway. Wawrinka against Dolgopolov, Nishikori against Chardy and Del Potro against Almagro
1632 hrs IST: Two contrast results for seeded women. Alize Cornet has sent 20th seed Barbora Strycova out of the singles draw with a 6-4, 6-1 win. Elsewhere, Svitolina survived a first set blip to turn things around and beat Pironkova 3-6, 6-3, 6-2
1614 hrs IST: After an early fumble, Radwanska manages to comeback as she leads 5-1 in the second set. John Isner has won a second set tie-break against Paolo Lorenzi and leads 6-3, 7-6.
1600 hrs IST: Daria Kasatkina storms into the third round with 7-6, 6-4 win over Marketa Vondrousova. On Court 1, Cilic two game points away from making it into the third round with win over Kravchuk.
1549 hrs IST: Cornet comes from behind to win the first set 6-4 against Strycova. Meanwhile on Court 1, Cilic wins the second set with a forehand smash to take the lead 6-3, 6-2.
1540 hrs IST: After capitulating in the opening set on Court 17, Konjuh has faltered while serving for the second set as Linette breaks back to take 6-5 lead.
1525 hrs IST: On Court 1, Cilic continues with his aggressive game as he wins the first set 6-3 against Russia’s Kravchuk. Spain’s David Ferrer loses first set 5-7 against countrymen Lopez, despite racing into an initial 3-0 lead.
1510 hrs IST: A bit of a wobble early on for Radwanska, as she loses her first service game against Uytvanck. Over on Court 1 Cilic has stormed into a commanding 4-1 lead over Kravchuk in the first set, while Ferrer has taken a 3-0 lead over Lopez.
1505 hrs IST: Radwanska continues her title push against Uytvanck on Suzanne Lenglen but the Belgian continues to hold on her lead.
1500 hrs IST: Cornett wins the fourth set with a perfect backhand smash. However, Radwanska comesback strong and wins the fifth set as the French loses the break with a forehand unforced error.
1450 hrs IST: Alison Van Uytvanck loses the point with a forehand volley forced error as Radwanska reduce Polish’s lead to 3-2. Meanwhile, Ukrainian Svitolina leads 3-2 against Bulgaria’s Pironkova .
