Activists All India Democratic Students Organisation (AIDSO) today carried out an agitation outside the WB Assembly's north gate demanding reintroduction of pass-fail system in schools.
The police tried to control the agitators and this led to a scuffle between the activists and the police.
The police arrested 61 activists.
They were released later, a city police source said.
