An inquiry commission, set up to look into "false cases" registered against people during the decade-long SAD-BJP rule in Punjab, has asked the aggrieved to submit details by June 30.
The panel would also recommend to the government measures that needs to be adopted for ensuring that people are not falsely implicated in any case in the future.
"Aggrieved people shall submit a proforma, either in person or through a representative or registered post, mentioning details of such false cases including its present status, list of witnesses and details of those who had lodged the complaint," an official spokesperson said.
The two-member Punjab Commission of Inquiry, set up by the Amarinder Singh government, is headed by former Punjab and Haryana High Court judge Mehtab Singh Gill.
Former District and Sessions Judge B S Mehandiratta is the other member of the panel.
The commission's tenure is six months, which, if required, can be extended.
During his election campaign, Amarinder had promised the electorate that if the Congress forms government in the state, all false cases would be inquired into and justice would be ensured for the innocent.
He had also promised that all those found guilty of implicating people in false cases would be brought to book.
