An army porter was killed in Pakistani firing along the LoC in Keran sector of north Kashmir on Saturday evening.
Meanwhile, the army claimed to have shot dead an intruder along the LoC in Poonch district of Jammu region on Sunday.
A defence spokesperson said Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire along the LoC in Keran sector at Kupwara district on Saturday evening by resorting to unprovoked firing, resulting in the death of one army porter and injuries to another.
The body of the slain porter was retrieved and handed over to his kin for the last rites, while the injured was evacuated to a medical facility, the spokesperson said.
In a separate incident, troops along the LoC in Krishnagati sector of Poonch district shot dead the intruder around 2.30 pm, an army officer said.
