The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) today welcomed the budget presented by Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy, for the fiscal 2017-2018, in the assembly on May 25.
In a release here, the Chairman of CII, R D Shrikanth said, "The budget has placed greater importance on ease of doing business through e-governance in the administration, fast track clearance and self-certification in obtaining licenses for development of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector in Puducherry to make the Union Territory a preferred industrial investment destination."
He also welcomed the announcement by the Chief Minister that steps have been taken to encourage foreign direct investment and promotion of software parks among other industrial enterprises in Puducherry.
