Three persons were arrested from Aizawl and Champhai after 69.5 grams of heroin was seized from their possession by Mizoram Excise and Narcotics department, officials said today.
A 26-year-old man was arrested when eight grams of heroin was seized from him here while another was held with the possession of drug, Mizoram Excise and Narcotics department spokesperson said.
The Excise and Narcotics officials also seized 61.5 grams of heroin at Champhai town and arrested a man in this connection.
The seized contraband has an estimated value of Rs 3.5 lakh in the local market, officials said, adding that the three accused have been booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
