Steps will be taken to take up metro rail project in the city during the next financial year, Municipal Administration Minister S P Velumani said today.

This was announced during a meeting with industrialists on implementing the GST, coming into effect from July one.



He also assured the industrialists of all possible help to solve their problems.

At a separate meeting, Velumani also discussed the issue of land for International airport expansion with the owners, an official release said.
