Prices of and arhar declined by up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today on fall in demand from retailers against ample stocks position.

Traders said besides easing demand from retailers, adequate stocks position on pick-up in supplies from growing belts mainly led to the decline in and arhar prices.



In the national capital, slipped to Rs 5,625-6,600 from previous level of Rs 5,700-6,700 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality traded lower by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,600-7,000 and Rs 7,000-7,100 per quintal, respectively.

Kabuli small variety also shed Rs 100 at Rs 9,500 -10,300 per quintal.

Arhar and its dal dara variety too finished lower by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,900 and Rs 5,900-7,700 per quintal, respectively.
