A man was found dead today on a railway track in Sopore area of north Kashmir's Baramulla district, police said.
The body was seen lying on the track at Amargarh in Tarzoo area of Sopore, 48 km from here, this morning and was subsequently removed by police for identification, a police official said.
According to preliminary investigations the middle-aged man seemed mentally unstable and apparently died after being hit by a train, the official said.
Police has begun investigation in this connection and efforts are on to identify the deceased, he said.
