A woman and her two children drowned in the Kollidam river near here, police said today.
The 33-year-old woman had gone to the river for washing clothes along with her eight-year-old daughter and five-year-old son, last evening.
The boy suddenly slipped and fell into the river. His sister, who tried to rescue him, also was caught in the current.
The woman tried to save them, but she too drowned, police said.
The bodies have been recovered, they added.
