Army's Northern Command chief Lt General D Anbu today visited the formations and units in north and south Kashmir and reviewed the prevailing security situation.

He interacted with the troops on ground and emphasised on the need for undertaking relentless intelligence-based operations to sustain pressure on terrorist organisations, a defence spokesman said.



Commending the troops for their dedication and high standards of professionalism, Lt Gen Anbu asked them to continue the strict vigil to thwart any nefarious designs of inimical elements.

The Army commander also reinforced the need for synergy amongst all the other security agencies to effectively meet any emerging security challenges and maintain a safe, secure and peaceful environment for the people.
