Refined soya futures rise 0.34% as demand picks up

Refined soya prices were up by 0.34 per cent to Rs 635.20 per 10 kg in futures market today as participants built up fresh positions after pick up in demand in the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya for delivery in far-month July traded higher by Rs 2.15, or 0.34 per cent, to Rs 635.20 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 30,680 lots.



In a similar fashion, the for delivery in June gained Rs 1.40, or 0.22 per cent, to Rs 633.60 per 10 kg in 44,910 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by traders due to uptick in demand in the spot market, mainly attributed the rise in refined soya prices at futures trade.
