Refined soya futures remain weak, shed 0.63% on ample stocks

Refined soya prices fell further by 0.63 per cent to Rs 634.90 per 10 kg in futures trade today as traders engaged in reducing their positions, triggered by ample stocks at spot market against tepid demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya for delivery in July fell by Rs 4, or 0.63 per cent to Rs 634.90 per 10 kg with an open interest of 29,460 lots.



Likewise, the for delivery in June contracts traded lower by Rs 3.10, or 0.49 per cent to Rs 633.40 per 10 kg in 48,450 lots.

Analysts said that trimming of positions by participants on the back of sufficient stocks position on increased supplies from producing belts against lower demand, mainly kept refined soya prices down at futures trade.
