The Government expects to announce the results of second round of bidding for more flights under the regional air connectivity scheme in August.

The Government seeks stakeholders comments on changing some of the parameters under which first round of bidding routes were awarded including possible change in the distance to be covered and for how many years only one airline will be allowed to operate on that route.

Secretary Civil Aviation RN Choubey and Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju was addressing reporters in New Delhi.
