A two-year-old boy died during treatment at a hospital today, two days after he suffered burn injuries after a tumbler of hot curry fell on him at his house in Suraram village in Medak district of Telangana, the police said.

According to Chinna Shankrampet police station sub-inspector Prakash Goud, the incident occurred two days back when the parents of the boy, identified as Arvind, had gone to work in afternoon.



"went in the kitchen and while playing tried to hold the tumbler put on a stove there. As he took his hand back, the curry from the tumbler fell on him," Goud said.

He was rushed to local hospital and later to Gandhi Hospital in where he died during treatment.
