Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for select destinations rose by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market today following the shortage of trucks in the market in comparison with cargo movements.
Transporters said less position of trucks and better cargo movements mainly pushed up some of the centres freight rates.
Delhi to Patna and Surat freight rates moved up by Rs 1000 each to Rs 27,000 and Rs 28,000.
Rates to Guwahati, Bengaluru and Vijaywada rates also went up by Rs 1000 each to Rs 61,000, Rs 64,000 and Rs 61,000.
Elsewhere, rest other centres freight rates enquired at overnight levels on some support.
