The counselling for admission to BTech programmes recently commenced at the GITAM Univ­ersity Bengaluru campus. The GITAM University All-India level Admission Test (GAT­-2017) was conducted from April 15 to 30 for admission to their engineering programmes.

Around 75,000 students appeared for the examination. The entrance examination was held for admission to courses offered at the GITAM University campuses in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam.

GITAM University pro vice-chancellor, Prof P V Sivapulliah, appreciated the GAT-2017 ranker who was admitted to the Bengaluru campus during the counselling.

He informed that the University is taking all precautions to enhance the employability skills of the engineering students.
According to GITAM Bengaluru campus admissions director, D Vamsi, the eligible rank holders who qualified in GAT-2017 have also been requested to attend online counselling for admission to the BTech programmes for the academic year 2017-18.

The candidates have been requested to bring the GAT-2017 counselling call letter, along with the 10th standard and intermediate marks statement and pass certificates and transfer and conduct certificates.
