The metro trains in Kochi are set to be driven by seven women loco pilots very soon. A team of these seven women along with 32 male train operators arrived in the city yesterday after completing their three-month-long training in Bengaluru. Now, these employees will undergo on-board training within the city itself. Earlier this month, the Kochi Metro Rail Limited had broken grounds by recruiting 23 transgenders for the new train operation set to begin from June.
