Areas under Palam, Lodhi Road, Ridge and Ayanagar observatories recorded maximum temperatures of 39.6, 36.8, 39 and 38.7 degrees Celsius, respectively, said a department official.

The minimum temperature settled at 28.4 degrees Celsius, two notches below the normal, the official said.

The humidity level oscillated between 46 and 28 per cent.

The office has predicted overcast conditions along with rain and thunder storm for tomorrow.

"Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 38 and 29 degrees Celsius, respectively," the weatherman said.
