The All India Petroleum Dealers Association suspended fuel retailers from 26 outlets found with tampering devices for unlawful gains in Uttar Pradesh. In an official statement, the AIPDA said that more than 150 petrol pumps in Delhi were inspected and ‘every thing was found perfect’. It also said that around 3000 Petrol pumps in UP have been inspected. The association has suggested enabling SMS alerts to oil company officials and dealers in case any tampering in dispensing units. AIPDA also vouched for installing CCTV cameras on dispensing units to prevent future discrepancies.
