A 58-year-old woman and her daughter-in-law were today found dead with multiple wounds at their residence in Prem Nagar here, police said.
Bodies of Nathi Devi and her daughter-in-law Santosh Devi (30) were found by their family members this morning, they said.
The family members then informed the police.
Prima facie the women have been stabbed multiple times with a sharp-edged weapon, police said.
The bodies have been sent for postmortem while forensic experts have collected evidences from the spot.
A case has been registered against unidentified persons on the charge of murder and investigation in the matter is underway, Investigating officer Sub-Inspector Emichand Solanki said.
