A 48-year-old man was shot dead today by motorcycle borne miscreants near village Purab Bisaat in this district, the police said.
Station House Officer (SHO), Musafirkhana, DK Singh said that Ram Milan Chaubey of village Pur Pundit was riding a bicycle when he was shot dead. The motor-cycle borne culprits fled after committing the crime.
Chaubey was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him 'brought dead'.
Following the murder, senior police officers rushed to the spot.
The day-light murder led to panic in the area where some other incidents of crime have also taken place in recent days.
