: Sugar manufacturer EID Parry today said its Managing Director V Ramesh has sought early retirement from service, which the board had approved.
"The Board has approved the early retirement of V Ramesh as Managing Director from close of business hours on July 31, 2017 as per his request", EID Parry said in a BSE filing.
"Consequently, Ramesh would also cease to be a member of the Board.", it said.
Ramesh's term was to expire on January 29, 2018, it said.
Meanwhile, the company said S Suresh, Deputy Managing Director has been appointed Managing Director of the company with effect from August one, 2017 for a term of five years subject to the approval of shareholders.
The 51-year-old Suresh, who is Deputy Managing Director of EID Parry India Ltd, has held various responsibilities at Murugappa Group including Executive Vice President and Head of Parry Sugars Refinery India Pvt Ltd.
A Mechanical Engineering Graduate and MBA (Finance), Suresh has 26 years of experience across different verticals in sales and marketing, manufacturing, industrial relations, supply chain, industrial engineering, it added.
