A cable TV operator was seriously injured after being shot at near the railway station in Fatehgarh Churian town in this district, the police said today.
Manjit Singh, a resident of Badhowal village, lodged a complaint with the police that he and his two nephews, Mangal and Dilsher, who were working as cable TV operators, were returning to their village on their respective motorcycles last night, they said.
One Kulwinder Singh and his three unidentified accomplices opened fire on Mangal near the railway station. He suffered two bullets injuries in his leg, they added.
He was admitted to a hospital in Amritsar in serious condition. A case has been registered and the accused are on the run, they added.
