Authorities in Pulwama district of south Kashmir today imposed restrictions on any construction work within 100-metre radius of the outer periphery of the Zadoora Air Force installation.
An order issued by District Magistrate Pulwama said the imposition of restrictions would remain in force initially for a period of two months.
"Restrictions have been imposed under Section 144 on the construction of buildings and other structures within a radius of 100 metres from the outer periphery of the Zadoora Air Force installation," the order said.
Although no reason was given for the imposition of restrictions on the construction works, it is believed to have been carried out as a precautionary measure "to prevent subversive elements" from getting close to vicinity of the vital Air Force installation.
