I-T department raids: Lalu Prasad Yadav lashes out at BJP

RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav criticised the BJP-led central government after the Income Tax department on Tuesday carried out raids at 22 locations in Delhi-NCR on companies and people associated with him in connection to benami deals.

"First tell me in which 22 locations the raids have taken place. I am not afraid of news channels patronising BJP," Lalu tweeted.

"BJP doesn't have the guts to suppress my voice. If they try to do that, there will be many Lalus across the country who will stand against them," he said in another tweet.

"BJP is targeting those leaders who are questioning them repeatedly. BJP sponsored channels are indulging in character assassination of them," he tweeted yesterday.

The BJP had last week accused Lalu, his MP-daughter Misa Bharti and his two sons of being involved in corrupt land deals, worth over Rs 1,000 crore, and asked the central government to probe one such transaction in Delhi.
