[India] May 16 (ANI): As many as eight children working in a dry chilli godown were rescued on Tuesday by the police from Hyderabad's Mailardevpally.

The children were later handed over to their parents.

The supervisor of the godown was taken under custody.

The minors were employed as child labourers and search operations were conducted in the factory where children, in the age groups of 6-10 years were rescued.

A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Juvenile Justice Act against the factory owner. (ANI)
