Members of an organisation representing Kashmiri Pandit migrants today met Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar and demanded educational opportunities for displaced students of the community.
The Jammu Kashmir Vichar Manch (JKVM) submitted a memorandum to Javadekar demanding initiatives to promote Kashmiri language and literature, setting up of a national council to promote Kashmiri language and revival of the Sharada script.
"The existing reservations for the displaced students in engineering and management institutes should be extended to medical education as well," the memorandum said.
