The Surfing Federation of India, the sport's national governing body, has announced that the TT Group, a leading Chennai based logistics management company, will power the second edition of the Indian open of Surfing.
The event will be held at Mangalore's Sasihithlu Beach from May 26 to 28.
This is the first time that the TT Group of companies has come on board to partner with a national surfing event, having been associated with surfing from 2013 at a local level.
They also have extended their faith and support to a small fishing village, which is now home to India's surfing revolution - Kovalam's community driven surfing school - Covelong Point.
Speaking on the occasion Ram Mohan Paranjpe, vice president, Surfing Federation of India, said, "I am really happy that TT Group has agreed to come on board and help us make the second edition of Indian Open of Surfing a great success.
"They know what it means to nurture surfing talent in India and they have been helping the sport grow over the past few years. Their association will only help us deliver a better event to the fans and the competitors.
