Cardamom prices dropped by 2.70 per cent to Rs 1,219 per kg in futures trading today as traders reduced exposure amid easing demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in May fell by Rs 33.80, or 2.70 per cent to Rs 1,219 per kg in a business turnover of 2 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by participants due to sluggish demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing belts mainly pulled down cardamom prices at futures trade.
