Jeera, coriander fall on reduced offtake

Prices of and coriander drifted lower by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on reduced offtake by stockists following muted demand from retailers against sufficient stocks positions.

Traders said reduced offtake by stockists due to easing demand from retailers against ample stocks position on increased arrivals from producing regions mainly led to the decline in and coriander prices.



common and best quality declined by Rs 100 each to Rs 19,400-19,600 and Rs 21,200-21,700 per quintal.

Coriander also traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 5,900-11,900 per quintal.

Ajwain (per kg) 120-170, black pepper (per kg) 560-740, betel-nut (kg) 290-310, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 830-850 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 880-1,100.

Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 1,125-1,225, cardamom (colour robin) 930-950, cardamom bold 960-980, cardamom extra (bold) 1,080-1,100 and cloves 560-680.
