A man has had a miraculous escape from the jaws of a crocodile in the Northern Territory.
The man was attacked by the crocodile, estimated to be two metres in length, as he swam in the Daly River region.
The 54-year-old man was wading in a waterway near the Palumpa community on Tuesday afternoon when he suffered multiple crocodile bites to his chest and arm.
The man was driven to a nearby medical clinic where he was given initial treatment. He was later flown to Royal Darwin Hospital by the CareFlight rescue helicopter.
He was in a stable condition.
