Sam Wood and Snezana Markoski are expecting their first child together.

The pair, who met on The Bachelor reality television show in 2015, took to Instagram on Mother's Day to share their exciting news.

It will be the first child for Wood and the second for Markoski, who has an 11-year-old daughter, Eve, from her first marriage to Jason Rapoff.

Taking to Instagram, Wood, a personal trainer and creator of fitness program 28, took a creative approach when it came to making the announcement with a quiz. Sharing a picture of Markoski, a scientist, showing off her bump, he wrote:

"Snez ... a) has just eaten a bowl of pasta bigger than her head? b) can't do up her pants? c) is having a BABY? d) all of the above?" He hashtagged it "so excited".

Markoski then shared a mother-daughter picture with Eve cradling her bump, while adding a special message for her fiance.

"We're so excited to be able to let the world know that our little family of three is soon to become four," she wrote.

"Sam Wood you are going to make an incredible father."

The pair got engaged in December 2015, with Wood popping the question with a $50,000 platinum, princess cut ring.

They moved into their Elsternwick, Melbourne, home in July last year.
