North Melbourne coach Brad Scott says former captain Andrew Swallow is in the mix to return for next Sunday's clash with Melbourne at the MCG after an impressive showing for Werribee in the VFL.
Swallow was dropped after the round five loss to Fremantle but has re-entered the frame after the Roos were slaughtered in contested possession by Sydney at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Swans make it two in a row
The Sydney Swans lead from the off to beat North Melbourne and record their second win of the season.
The Swans won the contested ball count by 35 to set up a 42-point win.
It meant Swallow - renowned for his excellence in tight confines - is now in contention to face the Demons. "He played well in the VFL," Scott said.
"We were under no illusions that he'd bounce back and he'd improve on some of the areas that we'd asked him to focus on. He'll be in the mix."
It was a sudden thud back to earth for North, who had won two games in a row leading up to the match, the second of which was a comprehensive victory over ladder-leaders Adelaide last weekend in Hobart. The defeat leaves the Roos with two wins from eight matches.
Scott said his side were well beaten. "It's pretty simple really. Sometimes the game's not, it's a fair bit of nuance involved, but today was simple, just got obliterated around the ball," he said.
"There were a few patches of the game where we able to play the game the way we wanted it to be played, and the rest, Sydney to their credit set it up well, won the ball in the contest and then dictated terms. It could have been a lot worse to be honest."

That it wasn't worse owed to the showing of backman Robbie Tarrant, who was lauded by Scott after keeping Sydney superstar Lance Franklin to just one goal.
"Robbie Tarrant kept it semi-respectable. It was a really dominant performance I thought."
Youngster Jy Simpkin sat out most of the match after hurting his shoulder in a first quarter collision. Scott said he wasn't sure of the injury's severity. "Certainly it looks like an AC joint."
