Nine policemen including a SHO were injured, four of them seriously, when a police patrolling jeep fell into a roadside ditch at Harihar village in Bihar's Madhubani district, police said today.

Phulparas Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Umeshwar Choudhary said the incident occurred late last night when the police jeep carrying nine policemen including Phulparas SHO fell into a ditch after its driver lost control over the vehicle.



Four policemen - Sauryakant, Badrinarayan Mandal, Manoj Kumar and Ramadhin Pandey - suffered serious injuries and were admitted to Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital, Darbhanga last night. Manoj Kumar and Ramadhin Pandey were referred to Medical College and Hospital, for better treatment, SDPO said.

While five others including Phulparas police station SHO Sanowar Khan have been admitted to Phulparas Primary Health Centre.
