Three men rescued from sinking boat off WA coast

Three men in their sixties have been rescued from a sinking boat off the coast north of Perth on Saturday evening.

It's understood the 11-metre former cray-boat hit a reef 3 kilometres west of the Two Rocks marina at around 6:30pm, and was rapidly sinking.

The owner of the boat made an emergency call to police, and deployed four flares and an Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon.

WA Police superintendent Garry Kosovich said a police helicopter was dispatched to the area, and found the vessel at 7.30pm.

"A short time later, a Two Rocks Volunteer Sea Rescue Group vessel arrived at the location and rescued the skipper and crew," he said.

"The vessel has been salvaged- towed to shore- and is on the hard stand at Two Rocks Marina. The three men are reported to be in good health."
