Ritchie, 48, who is a long-time friend of the ex Manchester United midfielder, says he did a great job in the small role of a baddie named Trigger in the historical drama, reported The Independent.
"He was fantastic, I love old Becksy. He is a fabulous actor and a real pleasure to be with," the filmmaker tells Sky News.
Ritchie, however, feels Beckham still has a long way to go to become a movie star and says, "I don't know yet, one step at a time.
