President Maithripala Sirisena will soon make a Cabinet reshuffle, a senior minister said today.

Addressing a public meeting, Minister of Health Rajitha Senaratne said both Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe have agreed in principle to effect changes to the Cabinet.



"There will be a reshuffle soon," Senaratne said without giving any reason for the reshuffle which was speculated to be done before the Vesak Day celebrations.

Wickremesinghe's United National Party (UNP) and Sirisena's Freedom Party (SLFP) are in the of unity despite their long rivalry since the independence from in 1948.
