Two held for stealing cattle

The police on Saturday arrested two persons on the charge of stealing eight cattle at Beloor village in Shanivarasanthe.

The arrested have been identified as Sharif and Mansoor from Mangaluru. Five of their accomplices fled the spot.

The arrests were made after the police chased the vehicle by which the stolen cattle were being transported. Enraged people set the vehicle on fire, in front of the Kodlipete police outpost.
