BEC JONES, 33

I AM IN Chapel Street, South Yarra

I AM a mum and a knitwear designer.

I AM WEARING a dress from Topshop. I got it a while ago. I like a print. It's got a bit of a contemporary oriental theme and it's obviously quite bright. My shoes are white pumps from some backstreet shop in Hong Kong while I was on holiday. My bag is from a little vintage shop in Nottingham, in the UK.

MY STYLE IS easygoing with a little edge.

I ADMIRE THE STYLE OF people I see on the street who look effortless, where it's not too try-hard.

MY FAVOURITE PLACES TO SHOP are Topshop. I like cute little independent shops and vintage shops as well. I'm not very brand-led.

MY BIGGEST FASHION MISTAKE WAS when I tried to do a short fringe. It just looked so bad.

WHEN I WAS A KID I WORE cute little smock dresses. I remember having a dress where my doll had the same dress. I loved dungarees. I used to have them in different colours and patterns.

I WOULD NEVER BE CAUGHT DEAD IN tight-fitted dresses or anything really leathery with heels. I find that a bit much.
