Talcher recorded a maximum temperature of 41.2, while the temperature was 40.6 deg C at Sonepur, 40.5 deg C at Sundargarh and 40 degree celsius at both Keonjhargarh and Sonepur, it said.

Both Bhubaneswar and neighbouring city recorded a maximum temperature of 39.2 degree celsius, the office said.
