IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Ltd has received Letters of Intent from Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd, Ranchi, for rural electrification works of East Singhbhum package worth Rs 559.35 crore.

The order comprises works in East Singhbhum district and West Singhbum Package in Jharkhand under the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojna.

IL&FS Engineering Services has also received LoIs for urban electrification works of the Jamshedpur Electric Supply Area covering eight towns in East Singhbhum, West Singhbum, and Seraikela-Kharsawan districts in Jharkhand under the Integrated Power Development Scheme.

The Rs 559.35-crore order is to be executed within 24 months, the company said in a statement.

IL&FS Engineering Services recently won rural electrification works worth Rs 738 crore. The construction company is currently executing rural electrification works worth over Rs 1,290 crore that involves works seeking to electrify around 9,000 villages.
