The Haryana government today enhanced the upper financial limit of skilled and unskilled works to be reserved for cooperative labour and construction societies from Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000.
Minister of State for Cooperation Manish Kumar Grover said that these societies would be given contracts for supply of manpower, loading, unloading and transportation of goods, and supply of construction material.
He said that these societies would have to make payment of Rs 25,000 as earnest money for works costing up to Rs 50,000.
He said cleanliness works carried out by government hospitals and urban local bodies under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan would be reserved for those cooperative labour and construction societies whose members are either women or belong to Scheduled Castes.
He said that the cooperative labour and construction societies would also be exempted from any licencing fee and enlistment fee.
