Oracle validates its Cloud Platform for India Stack

IANS  |  New Delhi

Aligning with the government's "India" initiative, tech major Oracle on Wednesday validated Oracle Platform to develop applications using Stack services.

Stack is a set of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that allows governments, businesses, startups and developers to utilise an unique infrastructure to solve the country's hard problems towards presence-less, paperless and cashless service delivery.

The validation allows developers and partners to leverage Oracle at Customer to create and test next generation applications that invoke core Stack APIs, including Aadhaar Authentication and Online Electronic Signature Service (eSign).

"With the validation of Stack with Oracle Cloud, we are further empowering India's robust developer and partner community to deliver applications that meet stringent regulatory requirements and protect the interests of India's users and organisations," Amit Zavery, Senior Vice President, Oracle Platform and Middleware, told reporters here.

Daily transactions have already topped 20 million and are expected to soon reach more than 100 million as a result of Stack movement.

The company also expanded Oracle Platform's integration offerings with the availability of Oracle API Platform Service.

Through a simplified API management experience, users can easily support changing business demands while having clear visibility into who is using APIs for better control, security and monetisation of assets.

"Data is the new corporate currency and APIs are critical to business modernisation and agility, enabling users to easily connect and share key information across applications and devices -- mobile, IoT, in the or on-premises," Zavery added.

Users can grant external developers and partners access to data locked behind firewalls, inside applications, and within data stores, enabling them to power a larger community to innovate and develop new monetisation strategies.

Meanwhile, after helping two groups of early-stage tech startups establish successful businesses, Oracle is now ready to mentor another group under its "Oracle Startup Accelerator" programme and has called for the registration applications.

Oracle Startup Accelerator is a global initiative to develop an ecosystem that fosters entrepreneurial innovation. In the second group, Ezedox, Farebond, initCodes, Trendlyne and Sonder Connect were mentored for six months.
